Good sound comes from good people

-Now I want to go through a list of the selected bands you've produced and get your quick impressions about what you think best sums up your cooperation with:

THE HAUNTED: Incredibly giftedmusicians and singer. Great to have been part of seeing them take steps to develop into something new.

HATESPHERE: Again, incredible musicians. My old friend Anders behind the drums until now. I love the way he plays although I must say the new kid: Denis is really good in Hatesphere as well. Tight band!

HEAVEN SHALL BURN: A perfect example of a band that will probably tell you themselves that they are not the greatest musicians ever, but they know what they can and cannot do and they stick to what they are good at. And they are very good at what they do.

ILLDISPOSED: Weird bunch. They always seem like they don’t give a fuck about anything, but they do, way down somewhere. They are a great band I think. The Vindication record was a record I am proud to have been part of.

GOREFEST: I love the two records we did together. The songwriting goes before anything else really. The toughest riff ever is in the instrumental: La Muerte. Where you can hear the strings ringing while the riff is playing. I love that part to death.

BARCODE: Probably the best hardcore band in Europe to play the American style. I love them. Good friends for years and years and lots of good memories.

KATAKLYSM: Nice guys. I just mixed and mastered their record. We were on one side of the work and I was on the other. Literally. They were hapy with the mix and so was I. Little to say really. We both wanted to work together on the next album but things got in the way of that happening...

ROB HALFORD: Of course a scary project to take part in. But a very proud moment too. I did a remix of the Crucible album plus two new songs fro a compilation. I was thrilled to do it and they were very happy with the results so smiling faces all around.

MOONSPELL: I think the plot for them to work with me was really down to their manager who wanted to see it happen. And lucky for both of us it did. I really love Moonspell on a personal level as well. Even my son thinks Fernando is the greatest vampire, haha. I have very fond memories about those two records we did so far. Very good songwriting.

-You have been mostly known as a man behind the knobs. Some people may heard about such bands as GROPE, DESEXULT (I still own some of your demo recordings, that was a great band!) and PIXIE KILLERS (formerly known as ATRO CITY) when you played guitar. How do you recall your musician's career? Are you still involved in any bands or projects?
I still play guitar and occasionally on record if I am asked... but my chops are not what they used to be anymore I’m sorry to say. I think I will do some music again at some point, when and what I have no idea. I am pretty sure I will just give it away on my site because it will only be for my own fun and to hang out with some friends and do some good... hopefully, hehe... I have had a few projects though... You might be able to find something called „Evil Morgan” out there... thats me on everything exceot drums and vocals... It’s old and not to be taken too seriously, but quite good in places..

-I really want to thank you for taking time to talk with me. I know that all the readers of Metal Portal will find this interview interesting. Keep up the good work at Antfarm Studios!
Thank you too for taking interest in what I do.
