"New album is going to be a huge milestone..."

PRIMAL FEAR are currently in recording process of their new studio album. Band's frontman Ralf Scheepers has issued the following studio update: "Just a brief impression from my point of view to what’s happening in the studio these days...

It’s very unusual for one band member to see and listen how the other band member is delivering the goods on his instrument. When we perform together live, you can also judge what’s going on each instrument but not as clear and obvious as in the studio where you can concentrate on each tone or note or beat from your mates. From what I have heard so far I can really say it’s the best performance I have ever heard from Randy on the drums and also from Henny on the guitar.

Of course some people might think: 'What else should he say, he has to promote the new album and that’s what every musician would say just to keep the ball running.' But these words are my true impression and I really can’t wait for Magnus and Mat to nail their parts to see the whole building growing and growing.

We're still working hard on Randy's drum-tracks and Henny's guitar tracks. We've finished at the moment the sixth day of our recordings with engineer Dennis Ward at the House Of Music studios. Our target for tomorrow is to finish two more drum tracks and Henny will start with his lead guitars. Ralf is preparing his vocal recordings and Magnus will arrive in Germany next week to play his guitar and keyboard parts!

The working titles of the songs Randy's finished so far: 'Six Times Dead (16.6)', 'Smith & Wesson', 'Soar', 'Riding The Eagle', 'Black Rain', 'Lightning', 'Time', 'Night After Night', 'Killbound', and 'Don't F*** With My Life'...

....... as we planned to record 14 songs for the first time in our recording history, we will start tomorrow with the other tracks 'No Smoke Without Fire', 'The Exorcist', 'Torn' and 'Scream'!

16.6 is going to be a huge milestone on the course of Primal Fear’s metal eagle."
