Finnish/Swedish symphonic metallers NIGHTWISH will release a new MCD and DVD in March. Titled "Made In Hong Kong (And Various Other Places)", the MCD was recorded during the ongoing "Dark Passion Play World Tour" and it includes a bonus DVD with material from Israel and South America, directed by Ville Lipiäinen. Reactivated late 1980s Portland, Oregon-based thrash metal/hardcore band WEHRMACHT has issued the following update: "For the last two months, Marco Zorich [guitar], Shann Mortimer [bass], Tito 'Mezzy' Matos [vocals], Brian Lehfeldt [drums] and myself, John Duffy [guitar], have begun rehearsing all the old WEHRMACHT material and are booking shows for the beginning of the year. The home of SIX FEET UNDER guitarist Steve Swanson was burglarized late Friday night/early Saturday morning (Dec. 5-6). Among items that were stolen were six guitars (two of which were custom, one-of-a-kind KXK guitars) altogether worth thousands of dollars, one Mesa Boogie dual rectifier head, Line 6 Spider III 75 guitar amp, HP laptop computer and more.
