Three days of killing

Maybe it will be a little bit difficult to understand for you, but the impressions of the third and last day of festival were began by me barely at evening. Why? Here a few of reasons: IMPERIOUS MALEVOLENCE, INSISION, FACEBREAKER, KOLDBRANN, GENERAL SURGERY, VREID, MAROON – some of those bands simply hopeless, some of them very average. The true marathon of massacre was began when the stage was possessed by IMPALED NAZARENE. I don’t suppose, that’s somebody on this world, who doesn’t know the five mad Finns, commanded by the most cracked up Mika Luttinen. The show of the horde from the Land of Thousand Lakes started at 8.45 PM and observing the reaction of attendance, there’s no exaggerating in the statement, that was very hot awaited. The masters of nuclear doom have unleashed their war by the intro from “Suomi Finland Perkele”, connected very neatly with the first track of this album – “Vitutuksen Multihuipennus”. Dear people, please, forgive me my restraint, but about show of Finns I can only to write by these words: rape, death, violence, hatred, war, hell, bestiality, fucking Armageddon, yeeeeeah!!! There’s no meaning, or had we to do with the anthems of carnage from “Ugra Karma”, “Rapture”, “Absence Of War…”, “Pro Patria Finlandia” or even the new album “Manifest” , cause the raging crowd was for the musician like the best aphrodisiac. The most funny was the reaction of Mika, who hitting in one moment by a football thrown into the stage, has screamed to the people: “What’s the fucking matter with this ball here? That’s any football match!!!” The ball was kicked of course by him away, the music carnage was continued, but like for me, the moment of intensive orgasm has come, when the guys attacked by “1999: Karmakeddon Warriors”. Ending the act of massacre, the maniacs were asked: DO YOU WANT TOTAL WAR??? YES, WE WANT FUCKIN WAR!!! – have you expected yourself the other answer? I don’t believe. “Total War – Winter War” for the end and the show was over. Maybe that’s not good word used here, by the music murder presented by IMPALED NAZARENE during the last 45 minutes was simply beautiful (!) A small changing of the guard and before us the next participant of the campaign – the Dutchies from LEGION OF THE DAMNED. In opinion of many people, the re-recording of old OCCULT stuff, named as “Feel The Blade” wasn’t a clever idea, but if the guys decided another way, that’s not my glass of beer, so finding the fault stays rather senseless… Another thing, that all of those tracks sounds in live version excellent, so headbanging by the rhythms of “Slaughtering The Pigs”, “Nuclear Torment”, “Reapers Call” or “Disturbing The Dead” is nothing tactless. Of course, didn’t lack the songs from debut album (“Death’s Head March”, “Malevolent Rapture”, “Werewolf Corpse”, “Into The Eye Of The Storm”, “Legion Of The Damned”, “Bleed For Me”), mixed with the tracks of “Sons Of The Jackal” (the title track or played at the end “Diabolist”). When in opinion in some of critics, LEGION OF THE DAMNED is nothing more than another copy of SLAYER, that’s of course their own word – quot capita, tot sensus, isn’t it? Like for me, the hour spent by the sounds of thrashing Dutchies, was in any case a lost time, so simply – needless to say something. The same I can to write about the next heroes of these evening – BEHEMOTH. The Polish pride, the one and only band, which together with VADER hits the world, treading even on their heels. Unbelievable is the fact, that Nergal and his comrades needed only about one decade to reach the success on so large scale, not only recording the new and more dangerous acts of blasphemy, but presenting them all over the world. Actually the Pomeranian beast concentrates still itself on the promotion of “Apostasy”, so the Party San gig was naturally a one of part this campaign. The gig repertoire was consisted of course from the track of four last albums, so everyone, who likes BEHEMOTH could to feel the full ecstasy by the riffs of “Slaves Shall Serve”, “Prometherion”, “Antichristian Phenomenon”, “Demigod”, “Sculpting The Throne Ov Seth”, “Christgrinding Avenue”, “As Above So Below” or “Chant Of Eschaton”, ending traditionally every gig of this horde. Full masterpiece and the true witness of supremacy in death/ black artistry!!!

And this way, the last day of festival came to the end, cause OBITUARY, announced as the headliner of this evening did of course that, what should to do – killed without mercy, although the track list, played by the crew of Trevor Peres presented itself very similar to the program from Wacken show, cause the “Xecutioner’s Return” and “Frozen In Time” still stays the albums, which contents dominates last time in repertoire. Of course, the place for classics like “Memories Remains”, “Turned Inside Out”, “Dying” or “Slowly We Rot” must to be (sometimes I miss for example “Threating Skies” – very good concert track, even one of my favourites in all band’s discography, but only the guys knows, why isn’t playing at the concerts…), cause what would be the true OBITUARY show without them? I know, that I am boring asking all time the same, but that’s the same, like John would decide about cutting his hair off, which is still one of the symbols this band – very difficult to imagine oneself, isn’t it? But the most important is, that OBITUARY works at the stage like a good oiled engine, bringing the most positive impressions to everyone, who watch them. I wish to the guys all goodies, first of all – much of power to record more so killing albums like “Xecutioner’s Return” and effective performances at the stage and to myself and all of you – to be in Bad Berka next year again. See ya!
