We are almost like ordinary metal fans

-Tell something about the local scene where are you living. As far as we know, the classical Swedish death metal scene is concentrated rather in area of Stockholm, while the melodic death metal is more characteristic for Göteborg. How looks like it in the area of Forshåga and are you holding the contact with the another groups?
Well, I think that the area, where we are living, in Forshåga, Karlstadt and all of that… I think, that we are more closer to the Stockholm style than to Göteborg, cause we preferred the old school, raw and brutal fast stuff before the melodic stuff. That’s not, that we don’t like it, but that’s more how we sounds, how we thinks, that death metal should be, so… I don’t know, there are so many death metal bands in our area, at the moment, I think. There are few, there are not really death metal band, but we are in contact with some of the bands. You know like it is, in small places where the musicians knows each others more or less, we are hanging out to the bar and always talk to each other and … you know.

-Have you still in memory the concerts in Poland during Thrash’Em All Festival 2002? If yes, which of bands was the most liked to you?
Of those bands? I think, that SCEPTIC was my favourite band on that tour with the Polish bands, cause they were very technical and the same good. I remember Jacek, the guitar player, he is really cool guy and great guitarist as well, so that’s way they all were really good.

-My previous question abut Poland wasn’t coincidental, cause still I remember the big “FUCK JÜ”, placed in the booklet of your debut album “Raped In Their Own Blood”. Is it really dedicated to the people, who have stolen your equipment during your first visit in Poland in 1995?
No, not necessary. You know, the “FUCK JÜ” thing, this picture is taken from Poland. I was something written on the wall somewhere in Poland, we were there in 1995, we had a breaking in our van and somebody stole the car with stereo, so well, yeah – it’s not that like on beginning, it’s spelled this way, that first is “fuck” and then is “j” and “u” with a double dot above it, so that was quite funny. That’s also a little statement, because we were younger, so you know… That’s a nice thing to have it, cause we have never got a help from anybody before we have released our debut album, we did everything ourselves, you know, when the trend came with melodic and atmospheric death metal style at the beginning of the 90’s and in the mid 90’s, when also black metal scene really came alive… Are you bored? (laugh) The black metal scene came alive, but we kept on playing our death metal by the way that we wanted to sound. We had our dedicated fans, we didn’t really get the exposure that we wanted in magazines, we didn’t care, we did kept on doing what we wanted, so I think, that putting this “FUCK JÜ” image into the booklet of our debut album, we have shown this way, that we did it, we came this far, we have made the album now, so – FUCK JÜ! (laugh)

-Which are the relationships between of you and the previous VOMITORY members like for example Jussi Linna, Ronnie Olsson or somebody another, who played with you in the past days? Are you in contact or rather not?
We don’t like them (a joke of Erik). Hmmm, well, we met Jussi, he lives in Stockholm now. We met him in November last year, when we played there together with VICIOUS ART, he is still funny guy, so was great to see him there, he is just like the way when he was in VOMITORY, but we don’t stay in contact with each other, but when we meet, it’s great to see him. Ronnie Olsson? He still lives in Forshåga, I don’t live there anymore, Urban lives in Forshåga, so he sees him sometimes in the supermarket and so – I think, they talks occasionally… And the other members, well… Ulf – I have talked with him quite while one year something, he is busy with his company. We used to stay in touch, but hasn’t talked to me for a while.

-What are you doing day by day except of playing the drums in VOMITORY? Are collecting the stamps, riding the horses or something in this style? Have you got your favourite hobby
He masturbates, that’s his hobby! (the intercalation of Erik, supported by peals of laughter)
I don’t have a time for anything else because of work, family and band. I used to ride the motorcycle, but I have sold the one half year ago, I had a little bit of time. The one thing, which remains to me is music – that’s something, what I like and I like to do.

-Guys, the last word from all of you, especially for the Polish fans!
