VICIOUS ART is definitely one of the most interesting and strongest death metal bands coming out of Sweden at present. Their debut album "Fire Falls And The Waiting Waters" released four years ago (2004) was definitely a good example for "how to play death metal without losing balls", while its successor entitled "Pick Up This Sick Child" is like a fucking earthquake. VOMITORY

We are almost like ordinary metal fans

In spite of destroying strength of their music, the concert activity of VOMITORY stays last time a little bit passive. The latest album “Terrorize, Brutalize, Sodomize”, although presents itself traditionally as a piece of Swedish steel with the certificate of highest quality, wasn’t promoted so good as like should to be, very difficult to say about the supporting this stuff by the intensive touring. Life is hard for everyone, so nothing strange, that for the VOMITORY guys too. With greater kick

Not waiting for deserved congratulations and gifts for the 25th anniversary of their artistic work, Peter Wagner’s group decided just at the beginning of the year to go all the way and release one of the best albums in their history. I guess that every self-respecting fan of this German dinosaur already has “Carved In Stone” in his collection. MESHUGGAH

Double victory

The inventors of syncope metal and unquestioned masters of their domain have been thinking out the successor of “Catch 33” for 4 years. Of course in the meantime there was a new edition of “Nothing” - often meanly described as “an album with one string more” - but being objective, we didn’t experience anything new. I guess that after such a long break the thirst for MESHUGGAH is infectious even for those who usually can’t stand their music in greater amount. The biggest pleasure for me to announce that … here it is! The newest strike of MESHUGGAH being the least freaky thing in their career. Of course talking about this band you have to treat these words indulgently as Swedes have never been sane and “ObZen” will cause you much trouble. We've been waitin' for theat moment for nine bloody long years. Nervously biting our nails we believed that in the end we'll have the luck to listen to the most anticipated metal album of all time. However the high expectations in confrontation with reality could result a very painful disappointment, we knew that TESTAMENT will not disappoint the legions of the true believers. In the terror zone

Mille Petrozza is a born musician, what has the evidence in fact, that his work still makes his happy. Although his 42 years, from which a half he spent in studios and on tours, the leader of KREATOR still has a much of energy, having also the brave plans for the future. Not so long ago he said, that together with his comrades wants to record the most brutal album in a history of his band (so, is it possible here to not like him?). I have talked with him this one not only about music, but about a politics too. A reason? Released recently a DVD material “At The Pulse Of Kapitulation”, including a splendid gig, recorded 1990 in capital of united again Germany. The Gothenburg Hit Factory

Without any doubts this Swedish team is – at least for last few years - the star of first magnitude in the metal firmament. All those envy little creatures have to swallow the bitter pill, while they have to take a look at charts' positions of IF records. Consequence in building of their own career. Strained to their limits murderous tour plans and, above all, high-quality music served in the subsequent CDs have given the team top position in melodic noise league. Their latest work „A Sense of Purpose" for sure will contribute to strengthen this position. I'm sure that soon they'll get a bunch of enthusiastic reviews, the album will hit the charts, and guys will go on the next long-time tour . IMPALED NAZARENE

Livers Of Steel

The Finns from IMPALED NAZARENE have never been interested in political correctness. It’s a typical kind of band in which they don’t bother to say what they think. In the past this painful sincerity caused the band lots of problems making them the object of gratuitous attacks. The accusations of propagating the Nazism were in their case ridiculous, whereas some organizations found IMPALED NAZARENE’s activity dangerous and called upon fighting their ideals. Things reached their apogee last year when it was close for the band to split-up, as they were discouraged with the constant fights and pressure. Once again, however, they’ve shown determination and their middle finger pointed at establishment will drive the defenders of morality mad for long. What’s interesting, just at the beginning of our talk Mika Luttinen asked about the situation in Poland and how the authorities perceive VADER and BEHEMOTH. It brought about a long debate on matters not necessarily connected with music but luckily we’ve managed to discuss in a few words the newest album of IMPALED NAZARENE “Manifest” which already ought to be on sale.
