A few days ago band's members officially announced their decision to terminate one of the leading European female fronted bands. Well, there's an old proverb that says „don't kill the goose that lays golden eggs”, so it was definitely a big surprise to everyone... Of course, it doesn't mean the end of their career. Brutality as their trade mark

A place of trial: backstage of Berliner Huxley’s Neue Welt club. The main defendant: CANNIBAL CORPSE. Age: 20. The charges of prosecutor: two decades of existing marked by blood, broken bones, severed heads and gutted corpses evidenced on the 11 of full-length albums and a few of DVD’s. UNEARTH

We are all individuals

Last year was very important for UNEARTH (the band celebrated the 10th anniversary), and also very productive. Leaders of US' metalcore scene released a new live DVD and highly anticipated follow-up to „III: In The Eyes Of Fire” from 2006. It's entitled „The March” and stands for very aggressive and direct yet still melodic metal core. In the first week of sales the album landed at 45th position of Billboard 200 Chart which is definitely an amazing result. Journey to the Isle of Skye

Released about three weeks ago, the newest album of German Celt metallers bearing the name SUIDAKRA is actually the first material in their extensive discography that really earned my deepest appreciation. After some fairly average records band's leader Arkadius and his brothers in arms finally reached a new level of maturity. I can truly recommend "Crógacht" to anyone who is a fan of melodic metal music with some nice folk ingredients. Listen to "Crógacht" and you'll quickly understand what I'm talking about. SWALLOW THE SUN

Plague of butterflies

As you may know, last year SWALLOW THE SUN released an EP entitled „Plague Of Butterflies”. The title song was written specially for an unique project combining ballet and metal. Unfortunately, the project came to nothing (because of the money issues) and the band decided to release the EP featuring the aforementioned track plus remastered version of their never released first demo tape „Out of This Gloomy Light”. In my personal opinion "Plague Of Butterflies" is a very special yet still underrated release. It's a pretty good reason to interview those Finnish doomsters, isn't it? Unfortunately, SWALLOW THE SUN are currently on tour in the States, so it wasn't an easy thing to get in touch with them. HATE ETERNAL

The flames of fury are still raging

If I would have to point the man being the example of metal professional of flesh and blood, I would vote thoughtlessly for Erik Rutan. The producer, former guitar player of RIPPING CORPSE or MORBID ANGEL, but first of all mainman of HATE ETERNAL, the death machine created by his hands and by exceptionally creative mind absolutely doesn’t become discouraged by the reverses of fortune, marching still forwards and leaving behind the route painted by blood. As the one of the confirmations his criminal activity can to be mentioned of course the last album “Fury In Flames”, gathering everywhere and like always the laurels of death metal masterpiece, not forgetting simultaneously about the tours promoting the newest work of group. I have never been a big fan of GOD FORBID but their fifth, long awaited CD really caught my attention.
