CLOSER
A darker kind of salvation

-Some time ago I watched a video for the opening track from your new album. It turned out quite well but I get an impression that posing in front of the camera is not your cup of tea. Did you feel confortable shoting this video? Was it a good experience for you guys?
None of us had ever done something like this before so it was a great experience to make it as “easy” as possible for the first video, it’s a learning process like anything else. We had a great time recording it and we’re extremely happy with Matti Nurmilehto’s work with the video. We’re already looking forward on recording the next video, and it’s gonna be even better. ;)
-OK, I think it's time to finish. The last but not least, could you give me some details about band's future plans? Do you have any concrete promotional strategy for this album?
Well the plans right now Is to fine tune the Closer machinery further, score some more gigs and establish us in the metal world. Don’t know about a real strategy but just keep hanging in there and nag an chase tours and shows. Hard work but I think that It will pay of in the end.
-Have you already started writing songs for the second album? What can we expect?
We have some ideas for the new album yes, but it’s in the planning mode right now. But you can expect more of the heavy, fast, catchy and gloomy way that is Closer
-By the way, what happened to your official website www.closer.nu? It seems like this domain has been taken by someone else...
Haha I don’t know really what happened to that site, one day it was ours and working and the next someone else had snatched it for some weird reason, it haven’t been working for sometime now. You can check us out on www.myspace.com/closersweden and www.facebook.com
