BORN FROM PAIN
Requiem for sons of a dying world

- You've published a statement on your web page in which you call for resistance against our world's order. Do you really believe that music may be the force which will force people to resist and fight the system or at least think for themselves? Do you see any hope for "Sons of a Dying World"? Btw do you think that the new president of USA may change the way things were going in world's politics in last years?
R: I think that every form of resistance or any means of trying to reach people is a good one. It being music, demonstrating, etc. We are on the verge of a radical change in this world. Any means by which people are informed is a good one in my opinion. Music itself won’t change anything, but since we got a lot of people buying our cd’s, clicking on our websites, etc. we think it is a good way to get the message out. Obviously it is not the way the war will be won, but, like I already, said, a way of trying to inform people. And you know, there is always hope. As long as there are people that believe , search for truth and are willing to fight, the war is not lost. I definitely think that Obama is the perfect vehicle for the new world order to push their agenda. It is not hard to see. He’s got a lot of them in his administration and he is the perfect puppet to use and get people to accept the changes they want made to reach their goals. Obama is like treated like the new messiah and gets away with a lot more than Bush would have. This is not about democrats or conservatives. This is about control and power.
- You've had a few very significant guest appearances on your previous album. Why didn't you decide to ask any of your friends to help you this time?
K: We did have some guest appearances on “Survival”. Scott from TERROR sang on “Zero Hour” and Marcel from The PLATOON sang on “Zeitgeist” and both did a killer job. There were one or two other guest appearances we wanted to happen, but unfortunatley couldn’t due to conflicts in schedules. Maybe next time though ha.
- Why did you decide to establish your net community SUICIDE NATION?
R: We wanted to offer the opportunity to people to get more involved in what we are doing. Voice their opinion, talk about things and get involved actively in things to inform people. We think organizing people to do that is important.
-You've played a lot of tours. Which one would you call the strangest one and why? Btw which part of band’s activity brings you more satisfaction – live shows or studio work?
K: In all honesty, I don’t think we’ve ever had a strange tour. Tours are tours, there isn’t too much that is different about them in general. You travel, you play, you sleep a bit, then repeat hahaha. It generally doesn’t matter where you are or who you’re out with. It is always a lot of fun though, but obviously has its hard times aspects of it too, but still fun. Hmmm, which brings more satisfaction, the stage or the studio. That question is hard to answer and the honest answer that neither is more satisfying than the other. The stage is the reason I started playing in bands and there is nothing more satisfying and enjoyable than when you’re playing music and kids are going crazy to your music. On the other hand though, it is such a great feeling hearing something that started out as a riff that kinda sounded good on a guitar that wasn’t plugged into an amp, which turns into this crushing piece of music with all kinds of little things going on and with lyrics and is a finished piece of music that sounds sonically great. Very tough question, but both are equally satisfying and both a lot of fun.
- BFP is on the stage for more than 10 years. Don't you think that it's right time to release a DVD which would show band's live force and history? Are there any plans of releasing such a surprise for your fans?
K: Hahaha, you’re not the first person to ask this. All i can say really is that it would be cool if something like that happened. There are no definite plans to do this at the moment, but it doesn’t mean it won’t ever happen. It would be cool though. We’ll see haha.
