The flames of fury are still raging

-Let to talk a little bit about your studio. When have you discovered by you the skills of producer? Do you remember yet the circumstances or the impulses of founding your own studio?
I went to school for audio-enginery when I was still in RIPPING CORPSE before I joined MORBID ANGEL, so sometimes I have wanted to do something since I was 18-19. I did some demos and some things, but since I joined MORBID ANGEL I was so busy and I never had a chance to do anything. You know, I loved this really when I started to focus at on to building my studio. I started with in very small warehouse and now I have a very big studio, you know I have A-room and B-room, so I can make any records with a small budget and a big budget. 9 years I have a studio, so it will be 10 years, come next winter, so it’s been a lot of work but I just want to be a producer that understand heavy music, you know, because there’s a lot of engineers, a good engineers, but they don’t understand death metal or black metal, power metal or fuckin any metal, so… I want to be a guy to people said out, well, you know: “we are going to him, he knows what we are fuckin talking about”, I have been done it for 20 years, I have been producing for ten years and I have been playing for 20… I really want to be professional guy, so I am very proud to be a lot in work with bands like VITAL REMAINS or CANNIBAL CORPSE, you know, I mean just the bands like that. It’s amazing, you know I enjoy very much I feel that I do really good job and I am capturing people’s natural talent, you know – my ears, I hear everything, you know, so I enjoy it very much.

-OK, crowning our talk I won’t be probably original asking you with which bands will you be recording in the closest future and which lands will be conquered by HATE ETERNAL in the next days or maybe months?
Well, I am recording GOATWHORE when I come home and I have a band called THROUGH THE EYES OF DEATH that I am recording as well. And now is a couple of bands with I have talked them right now, but I can’t say, but they are very known death metal bands. I hope I will close it soon and next fall from October to December I will be recording the next HATE ETERNAL album. And we will be touring, we will be touring States in April and we will gonna tour again, so couple more tours, maybe Mexico or Australia and… Yeah, keep busy.

-Thank you very much for your time, I have lost my last city train to home, but it was worth, he, he! Erik, anyway, don’t you think that’s unbelievable? We have met ourselves first time in the same place perfectly five years ago!
Oh, God, was it really the same day, the 14th of January? But it wasn’t here in this place, isn’t it?

-Exactly. Before five years you played in the other building of this complex, there in those smaller room on the second floor. Maybe will see again here… After the next five years.
