Order Of Ennead

ORDER OF ENNEAD was founded two years ago by Steve Asheim. In the face of DEICIDE's temporary dysfunction caused mainly by Glen Benton's personal problems, band's drummer didn't want to waste more time on doing nothing. He got in touch with his mates from COUNCIL OF THE FALLEN- bassist Scott Patrick and vocalist/ guitarist Kevin Quirion. Young, inexperienced yet very talented John Li took over the second guitar and the band's line up was completed. A few months later the quartet entered Audiohammer Studio in Sanford, Florida to record material for ORDER OF ENNEAD's self-titled debut effort. Engineered, mixed by Mark Lewis and mastered by Jim Morris at his famous Morrisound Studios the album saw the light of day at the end of 2008 under the flag of Earache Records. More...

Ooooh… Ooooh… Ooooh… Only just these words I was able to pronounce after the listening of the newest CANNIBAL CORPSE album, being simultaneously the eleventh bloody work of them. Last year the Floridian butchers celebrated the 20th anniversary of their existence. Two decades of killing by sounds is really a long piece of time, especially taking into consideration the determination and honesty of this crew in playing of brutal death metal. I don’t know which kinds of intentions had the Americans by the recording of this album, but if except of fulfilling their duties towards Metal Blade they wanted to confirm that in spite of the old age they can to be all time the same dangerous like at the beginning of their career, the mission was accomplished more than exemplary. Still I find inside, dating back to 1992, the petrosomatoglyphs of first impressions, when I was fell with a single blow by the first memento, under the name – "As the Flower Withers". That simple melody couldn't be ignored. There was to much passion. It sent a shiver down my spine. The new. mysterious value was discovered, like it was dug up at Whitby's monastery. Then came 1993 and the new masterpiece was created- "Turn Loose The Swans". We got the chance to see the light and feel the warm desire, and times went on. Lets mention only those two ones to stress the new ways in metal, which were represented by that legendary albums. It doesn't matter which from the previous albums I think about. Since the beginning of their musical journey AUTUMN have been continuously compared to THE GATHERING. It's no wonder, because they come from the same country (the Netherlands), play music that can be generally described as a mixture of rock, gothic and metal influences, and have an exceptionally talented female singer in the line up. As opposed to thousands of THE GATHERING worthless clones, AUTUMN's music has always had a very positive connotations with the former act of Anneke van Giersbergen, especially with the most creative and fruitful period in their career (somewhere between "How To Measure A Planet?" and "Souvenirs"). Into The Labyrinth

There are the bands in the world we want to see developing all the time. They search for new ways, combine styles, set the modern standards to thrill our thirsty minds. They are needed, I agree, but would all that fresh streams of multi-categorized bands ever exist without metal trailblazers? Hands up who can imagine metal scene without Iron Maiden, Motorhead, Saxon, Judas Priest and some more which, have been adored since early eighties (speaking for myself). With my both hands down I have to deny. The other rhetorical question. Do we want the distinguished leaders to make their way towards musical experiments? No way! I cannot simply imagine that! Over twenty years passed since we had the chance to get to know, for the first time, the band which brought something unique and fresh. Their music was classified as black metal, but did not sound norvegian, like 99 percent of the bands from that times. Since the first album they reached the top, gained popularity among European Headbangers. I still remember learning some lyrics by heart, painting the t-shirts with that old flaming logo. I cannot forget escapades to bigger town when their albums were announced in underground zines. Don't be deceived by Spanish band's name. Those five young zombie lovers were dug out from their tomb in Cologne, Germany by NUCLEAR BLAST's bosses. Re-Born in 2003 CALLEJON has already played many live shows and released two EPs and one full-lenght CD. "ZAHQ" is their second album, but first one released under one of the most recognizable banners in the metal world. I'm sure that promotional machine will be very helpful when it comes to spread the virus of the undead on the metal scene, but frankly speaking I don't think that we have here a band that will change your world.
