First part of recording session completed

After seven weeks of intensive work in the studio, German industrial metallers RAMMSTEIN completed the first part of the recording sessions for their new album on December 21, 2008. Drums, guitar, bass and some of the vocal tracks were laid down before the RAMMSTEIN bandmembers and producers took off for the holidays. Work on the CD will resume in early 2009 for a tentative fall release.







RAMMSTEIN recorded the initial tracks for the new album in Los Angeles with Jacob Hellner and the production team of Ulf Kruckenberg and Florian Ammon. A studio was rented near San Francisco for the bulk of the main recording work. Video footage of Christoph Schneider from RAMMSTEIN laying down tracks for the group's new CD last month at a studio in Los Angeles can be viewed below.
